Job summary

Mill Creek Machining in Paullina, IA is seeking CNC Set-Up Technicians to join a climate‑controlled shop focused on precision components used globally, including by the U.S. Military. We offer training, comprehensive benefits, and quarterly bonuses as part of a path to advance your skills and career.

Hours are dayshift, Mon–Fri 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a pay range of $28–$31 per hour depending on experience. A weekly attendance bonus is included when all scheduled hours are worked.

Qualifications

• Experience performing complete CNC machine setups in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Skill in setting offsets and cutting parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and production challenges.
• Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines.
• Assist in improving machining processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Adjust offsets and parameters for quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining and production challenges.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Maintain equipment and work areas to standards.
• Communicate process improvements and recommendations.
