Job summary

Precinmac is hiring a CNC Router Machinist for its Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin, OR. The day shift runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with on-site work and a competitive compensation package.

The role involves setting up CNC Router jobs, machining to blueprints, fixture design, and continual process improvement. Candidates should have vocational machining training and familiarity with measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining; relevant work may substitute for formal training.
• Experience operating CNC routers is a plus.
• Proficiency with calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and height/depth gauges.
• Understand blue prints, geometric tolerances and engineering drawings.
• Solid communication, computer skills and shop floor control software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC router and machine parts to customer specifications from blue prints.
• Set up production jobs and document completed processes for transfer to production.
• Design and manufacture fixturing; assist in setup, tooling, and troubleshooting.
• Improve cycle times, processes, setup and tooling; provide input on run times.
• Verify conformance to dimensions, alignments and clearance of finished parts.
• May develop programs using Mastercam and collaborate with NPI teams.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $28.00 Hourly

Job Title: Router Operator

Location: Tualatin OR

Day Shift: Monday thru Thursdayfrom 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Salary range: $20 per hour to $28 per hour

We are currently seeking Router Operatorsfor our Shields Manufacturing facility in Tualatin Oregon. (On-site position). Day Shift and Swing Shift available.

Summary:

Under limited supervision, set up production jobs on CNC Router in conformance with customer blue prints. Document the completed process for transfer to production. Define the measurements of all critical features of produced parts.

• Operate CNC router.
• Machine parts to customer specifications from blue prints.

Secondary Duties:

• May develop programs for machines based on solid models and drawings using Master Cam.
• Work closely with NPI teams to develop methods for manufacturing of designs.

Education/Qualifications:

• Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining – relevant work experience may substitute for vocational training.
• Some experience in the operation of CNC routers equipment is a plus;
• Demonstrated proficiency using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and height/depth gauges.
• Thorough understanding of blue prints and geometric tolerances.
• Functional understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Strong communications skills – both verbal and written.
• Computer skills and knowledge of computer software used for Shop Floor Control/job tracking.
• Must be a self-starter & self-motivated.
• Ability to identify complex problems and related information to develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Work Setting

• A machining environment with frequent noise in an indoor seasonally air-conditioned and heated environment. Requires standing for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection) where required. May operate moving equipment (forklift) as required to perform essential job functions.
