Philly Shipyard, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a skilled Machine Operator (CNC, Milling, Lathe, Plasma Table, Robotics) for 2nd/3rd shift. This on-site role requires operating NC machines, reviewing drawings, and following safety procedures.

You will program and adjust automated systems, inspect finished parts, maintain logs, and support a safe, productive shop floor. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience with CNC equipment and basic programming.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating numerical controlled machines in machine shops.
• Experience programming automated machine systems in milling, cutting, bending/forming/stamping, welding, and robotics.
• Basic knowledge of machines, equipment, computers and automated production systems.
• Understanding of engineered drawings and technical documents.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding methods and equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, plasma table and robotics per setup sheets.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine setup procedure and dimensions.
• Align, position, secure and fit parts and panels at machine per instructions.
• Inspect, maintain and operate machines according to procedures.
• Maintain written logs of daily operation and consumables.
• Report machine discrepancies and malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensure safety procedures and a clean work environment.
