Job summary

Summit Truck Bodies, a leading manufacturer of custom truck bodies, is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wathena, KS to ensure the reliability and safety of our facilities and high-tech CNC machinery, including laser-cutting, punching, press-brake, and robots. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and hands-on repairs with experience on Trumpf and Bystronic systems.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree in engineering or mechanics.
Background in electronics, digital circuits, mechanics, hydraulics, or software file management.
Ability to efficiently use various power and hand tools.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Valid Driver’s License with an MVR in good standing.
Ability to pass a General Abilities Assessment and post-offer screenings.

Responsibilities

Maintain facilities and grounds.
Snow removal using snow plow and shovel.
Facility repairs including roof, faucets, sewer, plumbing, boiler lines, and HVAC.
Troubleshoot and preventive maintenance of all machinery.
Operate a forklift when needed.
Painting, carpeting, electrical, masonry, welding, roofing and related work.
Other duties as assigned by the manager.
