Job summary

BAMCO inc. in Middlesex, NJ seeks an experienced CNC Programming Manager to lead our Programming team in a custom sheet metal fabrication operation, bridging engineering and production to deliver accurate, efficient programs.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing knowledge, a strong CAD/CAM background, and leadership to mentor programmers and support project deadlines. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Shop Leadership to improve programming standards and manufacturing

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in CNC programming or CAD/CAM programming in manufacturing.
Minimum 3 years leading or supervising technical personnel.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and tolerances.
Experience with CAD/CAM software and nesting applications.
Ability to evaluate designs from a manufacturing perspective and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of programmers to deliver production-ready programs.
Prioritize workloads and ensure timely release of programming packages.
Review CNC programs, nesting layouts, and fabrication documentation for quality.
Establish programming standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot programming-related production issues and advise on tooling and material needs.
Evaluate drawings for manufacturability, tolerances, and risk.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Project Management, and Shop Leadership.
