Location: Panama City FL
Full-Time | $60,000 – $87,000/year
Day Shift | Monday–Friday | Some OT & Weekends as Needed

The Opportunity
We’re hiring a skilled CNC Programmer to support and lead programming efforts for complex, tight-tolerance parts. You’ll be responsible for CAM programming, tooling, process development, and collaborating with machinists to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role also supports scheduling, quoting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program multi-axis CNC machines using CAM software (SolidCAM preferred)
  • Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues; optimize tooling and fixturing
  • Support job quoting and estimating; review drawings and specs
  • Ensure programs follow change management and AS9102 first article procedures
  • Coordinate first article inspections, time studies, and in-process checks
  • Assist with process documentation (Process Flows, PFMEA, Control Plans)
  • Manage material, tooling inventory, and rework documentation
  • Monitor scheduling software and adjust plans based on capacity and priorities
  • Support training of machinists and provide technical leadership on the shop floor

Requirements

  • 4+ years of CNC programming and machining experience (tight tolerance, short-run work)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, metrology tools, and CMM principles
  • Experience with aerospace, DOD, or similar regulated industries
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and reverse engineer parts
  • Familiar with ERP systems (JobBoss a plus), Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Preferred Skills

  • Manufacturing Skills Standard Council (MSSC) certification
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team
  • Comfortable with all common materials: aluminum, steel, plastics, etc.

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Must lift 50+ lbs and maneuver throughout the facility
  • Strong visual and tactile inspection skills
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English
  • Competence in basic math, fractions, and blueprint measurements
