Job summary

Pacemaker Steel and Piping Company in New York is seeking a reliable Programmer / Processing Estimator to join our team. You will develop CNC programs, interpret drawings, and optimize parts for Koike and Messer plasma cutting tables in a fast-paced shop environment.

Strong candidates will have AutoCAD and ProNest experience, programming CNC tables, nesting strategies, and inventory control. We offer a supportive team and stable daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with nesting and material optimization.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operation is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for Koike and Messer plasma cutting tables using AutoCAD and ProNest.
• Interpret drawings to generate accurate part layouts.
• Quote jobs, draw and nest parts, program plasma tables and manage inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure quality through close attention to detail.

Pacemaker Steel and Piping Company is NY's premier metal distributor of steel, aluminum, pipe, valves and fittings and we are looking for a qualified driver to join our team!

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Programmer / Processing Estimator for our Koike and Messerplasma cutting tables. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to providing high-quality work.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job requirements:

• Develop CNC programs for Koike and Messer plasma cutting tables using AutoCad and ProNest.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to generate accurate part layouts.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, tooling, and manufacturing processes is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required.
• Experience with nesting strategies and material optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with tight tolerances and deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operation is a plus.
• Candidate will also be required to quote jobs, draw and nest parts, program the plasma tables and receive in and maintain accurate inventory.
