Sign D' Sign in Bluffton, South Carolina is seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Programmer to join our production team. This hands-on role requires programming, setting up, and operating CNC routing equipment to produce custom architectural and commercial signage.

The ideal candidate has strong CAD/CAM, reads production drawings, selects tooling, and optimizes feeds and speeds to achieve precise parts while maintaining safety and quality. Join a team focused on precision and growth.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC router or CNC machining experience.
• Experience programming CNC equipment, not simply operating pre-programmed jobs.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, CNC routing, nesting, and toolpath software.
• Strong understanding of measurements, fractions, decimals, and basic shop math.
• Ability to read production drawings and specifications.
• Experience selecting tooling and adjusting feeds and speeds based on material.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver sheet materials and fabricated components.
• Experience in the sign industry, architectural fabrication, cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, plastics fabrication, metal fabrication, or similar custom manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC routing equipment to produce signage.
• Take a project from a production file through finished CNC components.
• Review drawings, determine tooling and cutting strategy, verify dimensions, inspect finished product.
• Collaborate with team and other departments to ensure on-time delivery.

Job description

Sign D' Sign is seeking an experienced CNC Operator / Programmer to join our production team in Bluffton, South Carolina.

This is a hands-on production position responsible for programming, setting up, and operating our CNC routing equipment to produce custom architectural and commercial signage. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working from digital production files and drawings, and capable of taking a project from a production file through finished CNC components.

Our CNC department works with a wide variety of materials including aluminum, ACM, acrylic, HDU, PVC, polycarbonate, wood, and other sign-industry substrates.
