Job summary

Mercury Marine, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for the 2nd shift to develop and optimize CNC programs across multi-axis machines. You will select tooling, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering, operations and maintenance to improve throughput and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has extensive CNC programming experience, familiarity with CAD/CAM, GD&T, and lean manufacturing concepts.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or technical program in CNC programming or related field.
Minimum of 5 years machining experience, including set-ups.
Minimum of 2 years CNC programming experience.
Ability to develop multistage operations to improve throughput and quality.
Strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve machining challenges.
Determine speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies for manufacturing operations.
Maintain machine control parameters and provide technical support to maintenance.
Identify and support new tooling applications.
Create CNC programs for multiple machine tools from drawings and 3D models.
Train entry-level programmers and document programming processes.
