Job summary

Pave Talent is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer in Covina, CA to join a precision aerospace/defense manufacturer. You will program live tooling lathes and multi-axis mills, plan machining approaches, and support first articles and production runs on-site.

The role requires 5+ years of CNC programming, Mastercam proficiency, and GD&T expertise, with aerospace/materials like titanium, Inconel, and stainless being a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Program live tooling lathes (C and Y axis) and multi-axis mills in Mastercam.
• Plan full machining approach: operation sequence, tooling, fixturing and workholding.
• Simulate programs, build setup sheets, and support floor through first article and production runs.
• Edit and optimize existing programs to reduce cycle time and downtime.
• Mentor machinists and collaborate with Engineering and Quality.

• Program live tooling lathes (C and Y axis), multi-axis mills, mill-turn, and Swiss-type machines in Mastercam
• Plan the full machining approach: operation sequence, tooling, fixturing, and workholding
• Simulate programs, build setup sheets, and support the floor through first article and production runs
• Edit and optimize existing programs to reduce cycle time and machine downtime
• Mentor machinists and work closely with Engineering and Quality
• 5+ years of CNC programming
• Current or recent hands-on programming of live tooling lathes (C and/or Y axis)
• Strong Mastercam proficiency (2025 or newer)
• Multi-axis mill programming and a background as a CNC or setup machinist
• Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• 5-axis and 3+2 milling
• Aerospace or defense experience in titanium, Inconel, and stainless
• HAAS mills and lathes, mill-turn, or Swiss-type programming
• SolidWorks for modeling and fixture design

Pay: $45 to $65 per hour, based on experience
