Coilcraft is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to create and optimize programs using G-code and CAM software. You will program 3- and 5-axis mills, interpret engineering drawings, and inspect parts with precision tools.

You will mentor fellow machinists, set up machines for production, and ensure quality while working in a fast-paced shop environment. Strong SolidWorks/CAMWorks skills and math ability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years' experience in a machine shop.
• Knowledge of precision measuring devices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and sketches.
• At least 3 years CNC mill programming experience.
• CAMWorks and SolidWorks proficient.
• Strong mathematical skills and problem solving.
• Attention to detail and good attendance.
• Ability to work with others in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.
• Program CNC 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
• Read complex prints and transfer designs to machines.
• Work from drawings and specifications to make parts.
• Navigate SolidWorks and edit models as needed.
• Read G and M code and operate specialty machines.
• Train other machinists on tools and inspection equipment.
• Set up machines for operation by others.
• Inspect own machined components with precision instruments.
• Maintain clean work area and adapt to fast-paced pace.
