Job summary

Trueline, an aerospace manufacturer in the Hartford, CT area, seeks two CNC Programmers / Manufacturing Engineers at senior and mid levels. This hands-on, shop-floor role programs VTLs, mills, and lathes, proves first articles, and helps build processes behind critical aerospace components.

You will collaborate with machinists and production teams to develop routings, time standards, and process documentation, while leading continuous improvement as part of lean/Industry 4.0.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC programming or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Mastercam programming experience.
• Experience programming CNC VTLs, mills, and lathes.
• Hands-on machinist background with ability to run CNC machines.
• Experience setting up and running first article parts, including hand gauge verification.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to read blueprint callouts.
• Willingness to work onsite on the production floor in Hartford, CT.
• U.S. person status for ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC VTLs, mills, and lathes using Mastercam, focusing on medium- to large-diameter ring work (24–64 inches).
• Modify and optimize existing CNC programs to reduce cycle times and improve tooling strategies.
• Set up and run first article parts, verify with hand gauges, release jobs to production.
• Create setup sheets, operation sheets, and process documentation.
• Develop routings, apply time standards, and enter data into company systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives as part of lean/Industry 4.0.
