Vitesse Systems, LLC in Longmont, CO is hiring a CNC Programmer/Machinist II to program and manufacture high-precision antenna feeds. The role requires solid machining experience, tight tolerance capabilities, and familiarity with GD&T principles.

The Machinist II will use Mastercam to program CNC machines, interpret blueprints, and ensure quality and safety standards are met, with opportunities for growth and development within a leading defense-related engineering environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of machining experience.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Working knowledge of work rules and safety guidelines.
• Proficiency with GD&T.
• Experience using Mastercam software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines according to internal policies and technical documentation using MasterCam under general supervision.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required.
• Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
• Program and manufacture antenna feeds according to readings.
• Interpret and apply blueprints.
• Apply advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Maintain CMi Quality and safety standards.
• Utilize hand and measurement tools to complete various manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
• Complete fabrication of specialized parts on manual machines.
• Support custom development of fixturing.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role
