Apex Geotech Drilling in Kilgore, TX seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to program and run high-precision jobs. The role focuses on G-code and CAM programming, fixturing, tool offsets, and achieving ±0.001" tolerances on steel and specialty alloys.

You will train and mentor Operators and Assistants, troubleshoot machining issues, and document inspection results while ensuring safety and PPE compliance on a heavy machining floor.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Strong G-code programming proficiency.
• Ability to maintain ±0.001\" tolerances on complex parts.

A day in this roleYou’ll begin by reviewing blueprints for drilling and geotechnical parts, selecting the right alloy, and deciding whether to hand-write G-code or generate toolpaths in CAM. You’ll mount fixtures, set tooling and work offsets, and run a first-article to dial in features to ±0.001\". As production ramps, you’ll monitor quality, troubleshoot chatter or tool wear, and document inspection results.
