Position Summary

Support the manufacturing of complex A&D components through development of specialized coding utilizing software like Catia and Vericut. Additional support the creation of Machining Fixture Aids and Set‑Up Documentation to ensure that a compliant part is manufactured, meeting both specifications and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs for 3‑ and 4‑axis equipment, utilize Vericut and simulation software to validate G‑code and avoid collisions or crashes.
• Apply best programming techniques for optimum approaches and cycle times. Request support if needed.
• Prepare set‑up sheets and documentation for each project.
• Maintain well‑organized programming folders.
• Assist machinists on the shop floor with edits and selecting feeds and speeds.
• Review post‑processed G‑code, upload and save CNC‑proven programs to and from the equipment.
• Review blueprints, models and GD&T tolerances while programming and selecting proper tools.
• Design and create machining fixture aids required to machine the part.

Skills and Requirements

• High school, trade school certification or college preferred.
• 1 to 5 years’ experience in an A&D environment required.
• Must have 3+ years’ experience in 3‑ or 4‑axis CNC programming for a Level I position.
• Experience with CATIA V5, HyperMill FeatureCam, and programming preferred.
• Knowledge of Vericut software a plus.
• Knowledge of Okuma OSP 300, Fanuc i31: Mazatrol, and Siemens 840D controllers.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience setting up CNC machines.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Strong time‑management and organization skills; own the project from start to finish.
• Support production by following processes and procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with engineers and machinists as needed.
• Familiarity with AS9100 rev D.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel).
• Ability to adhere to internal quality and business management‑system procedures.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Can‑do attitude, professional, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Work Environment

• Office/programming cubicles and machine shop environment.
• Fast paced, with people and parts movement.
• Moderate to medium noise level.
• Personal protective equipment always required in the machine shop.

Salary Range

Base salary $27.00 – $32.00 per hour (Inglewood only).
