Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Gainesville, GA, seeks an experienced CNC programmer/operator for a day shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM). You will program, set up, and operate CNC machines, ensuring quality and safety while maintaining records and inventory.

Requirements include a B.S. in engineering or equivalent, 2+ years CNC programming, and proficiency with metrology tools. This role emphasizes problem solving, accurate measurement, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• B.S in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience and training.
• Minimum 2 years CNC programming experience.
• Three to five years of experience in manufacturing and TS16949 familiarity.
• Proficient use of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Read and interpret drawings; strong mathematical skills.
• Formal metrology, GD&T and/or blueprint reading desired.

Responsibilities

• Program all CNC machines.
• Write and edit CNC programs for prototypes and turning centers; use G-Code.
• Design CNC fixtures and tooling; create changes in SolidWorks.
• Create blueprints and quote CNC cycle times and fixture costs.
• Schedule maintenance for CNC machines and train staff.
• Maintain records for CNC department and equipment.
