Job summary

AeroTEC is seeking a 5 Axis CNC Programmer to program, set up and operate milling machines in our Moses Lake facility. The role analyzes drawings and CAD models to develop efficient machining strategies and ensures accuracy to meet specifications.

You will prepare setup sheets, assist with complex setups, run tests, and work with engineering to improve parts manufacturability. Ten+ years of CNC programming experience (milling, 3,4,5 axis) and NX proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; CNC coursework or certification preferred.
• 10+ years CNC programming experience (milling, 3,4 and 5 axis).
• 3 years CNC programming using NX required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, blueprints and CAD models to craft efficient machining strategies.
• Create setup sheets and documentation for machine operators.
• Assist with machine setup during peak production or complex jobs.
• Conduct test runs; troubleshoot issues for accuracy.
• Estimate programming and machine times; plan materials for projects.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure manufacturability and tooling needs.
• Identify process improvements; implement updated programming techniques.

The AeroTEC Manufacturing Center is responsible for providing resources and facilities for fabrication, quality, manufacturing, instrumentation installation and equipment to support customer requirements.About the RoleThe 5 Axis CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, set-up and operation of CNC milling machines to produce parts.
