Job summary

Cannonball Recruiting LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to set up and program Laser/Plasma/Waterjet tables in a busy shop, using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to interpret 2D drawings and 3D models.

You will select tools, speeds, and feeds, verify programs on the shop floor, and collaborate with machinists to meet tight tolerances on diverse parts. 1st or 2nd shift availability. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for hands-on growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Ability to read 2D drawings and 3D models; GD&T familiarity helpful.

Responsibilities

• Program Laser/Plasma/Waterjet tables using AutoCAD & SolidWorks for diverse parts.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Select tools, speeds, and feeds based on materials and specs.
• Set up and prove out programs on the shop floor; collaborate with machinists.
• Maintain program files and documentation; troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances.

CNC Programmer (AutoCAD/SolidWorks

Pay: $30-40/hr. (or more depending on experience)

Shift:1st or 2nd shift availability

Description:

• We are seeking a CNC Programmer to set up machinery such as CNC Water Jet, CNC Laser, and CNC Plasma Tables for a variety of parts in a job shop setting.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and material properties.
• Ability to work from 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Familiarity with GD&T and precision measurement tools.

Job Duties:

• Program Laser/Plasma tables & Waterjet Machine using AutoCAD & SolidWorks for a wide range of complex parts and materials
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Selection appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds based on materials and specifications.
• Set up and prove out programs on the shop floor, making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with machinists to refine and optimize machining processes.
• Maintain program files and documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
• Troubleshoot issues related to programming, tooling, and machining operations.
• Ensure all parts meet quality standards and tolerances
