Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp in West Chester, PA, seeks a CNC Programmer & Machinist to join the R&D machine shop. You will program, set up, and operate Hurco TM6i 2-axis turning centers and VM5i 3-axis machining centers, ensuring tight tolerances and quality in prototype units.

You’ll inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and other gauges, trouble shoot issues, and contribute to on-time delivery KPIs while maintaining safety and records of tooling and parts. Prior Hurco experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience programming for CNC turning or CNC machining centers.
• Experience programming for Hurco CNC machines is preferred.
• Strong understanding of measurement equipment and tolerance inspection.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Hurco TM6i 2-axis CNC turning center.
• Program, set up, and operate Hurco VM5i 3-axis CNC machining center.
• Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, height stands, and indicators.
• Grind and fabricate specialty tooling; sharpen tools as required.
• Help troubleshoot machines and teach basics of operation and programming when requested.
• Maintain records of parts machined and equipment/supplies in the CNC area.

Job description

Opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join our team and advance our capability to develop new and innovative electric motor products. The CNC Programmer & Machinist is a core member of the R&D team and is responsible for programming and operating the CNC mill and CNC lathe of the R&D machine shop. This role heavily contributes to the achievement of the Key Performance Indicators established for On-Time Delivery and Quality of prototype evaluation units. Demonstrating strong execution skills is a critical part of this role. This opportunity is in West Chester, PA.

What You’ll Do

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

• Program, set up, and operate HURCO TM6i 2-axis CNC turning center.

• Program, set up, and operate HURCO VM5i 3-axis CNC machining center.

• Inspect your own work using various inspection equipment to measure tight tolerances including:

  • Height Stands
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Indicators

• Grind and fabricate specialty tooling as required.

• Sharpen tools as required.

• Help troubleshoot machines as required.

• Teach fundamentals in machine operation, set-up, and programming (as requested).

• Measure and maintain quality and safety standards around the CNC machining area.

• Keep records, maintain equipment and supplies required to support CNC machines.

• Keep and maintain records of parts machined on CNC machines.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year machine tool diploma or degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years experience programming for CNC turning and/or machining centers.
• 1 year experience with HURCO CNC machines.
