Job Information
  • Direct hire
  • Dayshift
  • Located in Kearny, NJ
  • Paying 80K - 85K annually to start
  • Comprehensive benefits package!
  • Industry: industrial surge protection equipment, protection products, telecommunications, solar & wind energy
CNC Programmer Responsibilities:
  • Amada Punch & Laser machinery
  • Reads and understand technical drawings and set up the machines according to the blueprints
  • Use computer software to program Punch and Laser to produce sheet metal parts
  • Create flat patterns of sheet metal using bend deduction rules in accordance with AMADA tooling
  • Provide proper information on nestings for the operators to run multiple jobs for efficiency
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications when required
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
  • Consider the tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines & turret tooling as they arise
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and sharpening
  • Train new employees on how to operate CNC machines and programs properly
  • Support engineering changes with revision control systems that involve current and future production

CNC Programmer Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • AP100US/VPSS BLANK 4ie or any Amada software experience is a PLUS but NOT required
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise
  • The ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
  • Should have a positive and professional attitude
