Job summary

Prestwick Group in Sussex, WI is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop programs for 3-axis CNC routers using CAM software. You will nest parts, set up toolpaths, and generate setup sheets, while coordinating with the Production Manager on issues that arise.

The role requires 1+ year of CNC programming or operating experience, strong drawings/BOM knowledge, and solid communication. Proficiency with ERP systems and Google Workspace is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of prior CNC Programming or Operating experience.
• Superior understanding of technical drawings and bills of materials.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC Routers.
• Adept in ERP and inventory systems.
• Proficient with Google Gmail, Docs, Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Reviews information, prints, and programs parts per requirements.
• Maintains the work area and organizes tools and materials.
• Communicates status and improvement ideas with leadership.
• Seeks to improve job knowledge.
• Creates CNC programs using CAM software: imports DXF, imports EPS, nests parts, applies tools/paths, exports code.
• Produces documentation for CNC Operators.
• Follows safety rules and company policies.
• Assists other operations departments as required.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
