Job summary

Tate Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to translate engineering designs into precise machining plans for mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment. You will develop and optimize CNC programs and support production with continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong CAD/CAM proficiency (Mastercam, SolidCAM), experience with 5-axis programming, and meticulous measurement and inspection to ensure repeatable quality. Join a collaborative team focused on performance and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, or similar).
  • Experience with 5-axis programming is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools for inspection and validation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

About The Role

The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs to support the accurate and efficient production of high-quality parts. This role translates engineering designs into machining strategies, ensuring precision, consistency, and process efficiency while supporting production operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do
CNC Programming & Machining Strategy
  • Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications to determine machining strategies.
  • Select tooling, cutting parameters, and machine settings based on material and design requirements.
  • Optimize tool paths, setups, and cycle times to improve efficiency and precision.
Process Optimization & Production Support
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
  • Revise and update CNC programs to support design changes and production needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cycle time, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Support implementation of process improvements and best practices.
Quality Assurance & Technical Validation
  • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments such as, callipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Verify part conformity to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Ensure programs produce consistent, repeatable, and compliant manufacturing results.
  • Support documentation and standardization of programming procedures.
Additional Expectations
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
