CNC Programmer

This position is responsible for producing high-quality flow cells, microfluidic devices, and other product solutions manufactured by the company.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs to ensure precision machining of components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work with CNC milling machines. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with engineers and machinists to produce high-quality parts that meet stringent specifications.

Duties

  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
  • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accurate part specifications.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
  • Conduct inspections using bore gauges and other measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
  • Troubleshoot programming issues and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Maintain documentation of all programming changes and machine setups.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, specifically Mastercam (SolidWorks experience a plus).
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, geometry, and mathematics as they relate to CNC programming.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred.
  • Experience with GD&T standards is essential.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Basic computer skills, math skills and CNC programming required (Mastercam preferred).
  • Must work well with others.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and procedures.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to maintain extreme attention to detail and follow multi-step processes accurately.
  • Experience in Biotechnology, Sciences or Optical Devices, a plus.
