Clarapath is seeking a full-time CNC Programmer to join our team in Hawthorne, NY 10532 in a salaried position. The role requires a SolidCAM Programmer who can create programs for a 5‑axis CNC machine and a CNC lathe, with machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do: Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Fully operate a 5‑axis CNC to produce parts.
• Operate single or multi‑spindle machines for drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, and other operations.
• Use all necessary tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Maintain work within tight tolerances and fine finishes.
• Perform tool offset and load parts.
• Follow internal process specifications for job responsibilities.
• Utilize appropriate PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• 1+ years of machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• 1+ years of CNC machine operation experience.
• Education and/or training in machine shop operations.
• Experience in a self‑directed team environment.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge.

Technical Skills:

• CNC training or 1+ years experience (Haas interface preferred).
• Capable of producing parts with tight tolerances (25 microns / .001) and fine finishes.
• Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (dial calipers, protractors, micrometers, gauges).
• Understanding of blueprint, process sheet, and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Prior working knowledge of machine shop operations, tool selection, and equipment settings.
