Silfex, Inc., located in Springfield, Ohio, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to develop and optimize machining processes for silicon and other brittle materials. The role demands extensive experience in CNC programming, problem-solving, and effective communication in a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years in CNC machining, an understanding of CAD/CAM systems, and the ability to ensure high-quality production processes while fostering a collaborative and safe workplace culture.
The position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing CNC machining programs and processes for silicon and other brittle materials. This position serves as a subject matter expert for CNC programming and machining execution, bridging engineering intent and manufacturing reality to ensure safe, capable, and repeatable processes that meet all dimensional, cosmetic, and performance requirements.

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles, is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and works in an environment with moderate noise levels. Employee is required to meet all PPE requirements as outlined in Silfex procedures.
