Job summary

Precision Signs, Inc. is seeking a CNC Programmer to lead programming and operation of CNC equipment including HAAS VMCs, waterjets, and 3-axis gantry machines. You will develop toolpaths, write G-code, and optimize processes to produce high‑quality custom parts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming and operating CNC VMCs.
• Proficiency with G-code especially HAAS.
• Degree or certification in mechanical engineering or CNC programming.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment including VMCs, Waterjets, and 3-axis Gantry machines.
• Develop and modify toolpaths to optimize machining processes.
• Write and optimize G-code for precision parts and efficient production.
• Troubleshoot programming and machine errors to improve throughput.
• Collaborate with design and quality teams to meet specs and timelines.

What You'll Do

• Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, including Vertical Milling Center, Waterjet systems, and 3-axis Gantry machines
• Develop, prototype, and modify 3D models and toolpaths to optimize machining processes
• Write, adjust, and optimize G-code to ensure smooth and precise machining
• Troubleshoot machining errors, programming challenges, and equipment issues to improve efficiency
• Design and fabricate custom fixtures to ensure material stability during machining
• Collaborate with the production, design, and quality teams to align on project goals; Inspect and test parts to meet strict quality standards

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience programming and operating CNC VMCs, with a deep understanding of G-code (HAAS experience preferred)
• Certification or degree in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, or a related field
• Experience with 3-axis Gantry machines like Waterjets and Techno routers
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM (Autodesk Inventor, Aspire/Carve) software for creating and modifying machining programs
• Attention to detail and a passion for high‑quality custom work
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to operate manual machines (e.g., Bridgeport) is a plus
