Job summary

Mitchell & Associates is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Programmer responsible for programming the CNC machine to support die and tooling production. You will collaborate with Engineering and Tooling departments to ensure smooth workflows and accurate tooling data.

The role requires strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and multi-task. Proficiency in Mastercam and KeyCreator is essential, along with knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and five years experience in the automotive industry, or equivalent education/experience
• Excellent communication, problem solving, organization, time management, and decision making skills
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize
• Tool and Die Journeyman's Card
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, as well as Mastercam and KeyCreator
• Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949

Responsibilities

• Prepare all programming for CNC and laser from final die designs
• Act as a liaison between Engineering Department and CNC department
• Act as a liaison between Tooling Department and CNC department
• Track and resolve issues from tool room
• Report all scheduling concerns to Tooling Manager
• Record daily job numbers and hours in eMaintenance
• Perform duties to accommodate the customer
• Report deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment, and/tools to Tooling Manager
• Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to Tooling Manager
• Participate in and contribute to production efficiency
• Abide by Company policies including Health/Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, HR policies, and Employee Handbook

Required Education And Experience

Language Skills

• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of planes and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
