Job summary

Accumet Engineering Corp. is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to set up master programs for customer jobs and optimize processes. You will read drawings, model cutting paths, and troubleshoot CAD software issues while collaborating with operators and sales to improve efficiency.

The role involves QA testing, maintaining quality, and training new staff. Hours are 7am-3:30pm with occasional overtime; reports to Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Extensive CNC programming knowledge is required.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read technical drawings and set up machines per blueprints.
  • Model cutting paths using CAD software and program machines accordingly.
  • Perform quality assurance tests to verify design specs.
  • Adjust cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
  • Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine problems as they arise.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.
  • Train new employees on proper operation of CNC machines and programs.

Job description

Accumet is an industry-leadingadvanced processing manufacturerfor new and legacy materials fabrication, precisionlaser services, and critical componentassembly. We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to formulate programming and interact with operators and sales to optimize processes. A Qualified candidate is someone driven to make improvements, self-motivated, curious, flexible and collaborates well with others.

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to setting up master programs for customer jobs (etching, marking, engraving, etc. for a wide variety of materials); identifying and troubleshooting CAD software problems; continuous improvement and development of CAD process and automatic processes by applying new techniques available through CAD software; proactively interacts with other departments to develop feedback look for process efficiency.

  • Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints
  • Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
  • Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
  • Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening
  • Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Extensive CNC programming knowledge
  • SolidWorks
  • AutoCAD
  • DWG, DXF files
  • Bonus: CorelDRAW
  • Experience with E2 software or similar job tracking software
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise
  • Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers to resolve issues
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time

Hours: 7am-3:30pm with occasional overtime

Reports to: Production Supervisor
