Job summary

Burkert USA Corp is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize CNC machining, drive spindle efficiency, and lead Kaizen-based improvements. You will analyze time studies, cycle times, and capacity, collaborating with CNC programmers on CAM strategy.

The role focuses on eliminating downtime and improving process flows in a precision metal/fab environment. Requirements include a 3–8 year track record in machining, SAP experience, CAD/CAM proficiency, and strong data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering is required.
• 3–8 years of progressive CNC machining experience with close-tolerance metals or engineered plastics.
• Experience leading Kaizen, VSM, and 5S in a machining environment.
• Direct SAP production module experience and tool management exposure.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Siemens NX, Mastercam).

Responsibilities

• Manage efficiency of CNC machine systems and standard components.
• Drive spindle time optimization across turning, milling, and multi-axis cells.
• Conduct time studies, cycle time analysis, capacity modeling for improvements.
• Improve machine scheduling using SAP and maintain SAP routing data.
• Lead root cause analysis on scrap, rework, non-conformances.
• Develop and execute structured improvement roadmaps between audits.
• Facilitate improvement workshops and maintain process documentation.
