Qualifications

• Solid foundation in engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Designs processes and equipment to manufacture products cost-effectively within specifications.
• Implements process designs, creates prototypes, tests and modifies as needed.
• Assesses safety requirements and integrates them into processes.
• Collaborates with other professionals on development and research projects.
• Incorporates new technology or environmentally friendly practices into existing processes.
• Participates in meetings, seminars and training to stay updated.
• Develops and conducts training on safe equipment operation for trainees and customers.
• Negotiate price, terms with outside suppliers for project needs.
• Develops models of alternative processing methods and tests feasibility of new applications.
• Provides detailed documentation including tool/fixture drawings, setup definitions and procedures.
