Job summary

Swenson Spreader is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our team in Lindenwood, IL, just 15 minutes south of Rockford. You will set up and operate CNC press brakes, bending and forming metal parts to exact specifications.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with tooling and CNC controllers. We value lean manufacturing principles and safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of press brake setup and operation experience.
• Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Experience with CNC press brakes like Ermak, Pacific, Niagara, Cincinnati.
• Familiarity with a CNC controller and programs.
• Knowledge of tooling, material types, and forming techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machines for production runs
• Interpret blueprints, bend deductions, and job specifications
• Utilize CNC press brake controllers to program, modify, optimize bend sequences
• Select proper tooling and machine setups
• Perform bending, forming, and straightening operations
• Inspect finished parts and verify accuracy
• Record production data and maintain workflow
• Operate an overhead crane to move material
• Perform operator maintenance
• Follow safety and quality standards
