Job summary

SHIVELY DIVERSIFIED MANAGEMENT SERVICES, LLC is seeking a Precision Machinist with CNC Mill/Lathe programming and setup expertise. You will program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to produce tight-tolerance parts per drawings, while maintaining quality and safety in a fast-paced shop.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, independent work, and production efficiency, with compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience (Mill or Lathe specialization).
• Proficiency in G&M-code programming and editing at the machine.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection processes.
• Experience machining a variety of materials.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software; Mastercam preferred.
• Good work ethic and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Program, edit and optimize CNC programs for Mill and/or Lathe operations.
• Set up machine including material, tooling, offsets, and fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and drawings to produce complex parts.
• Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Operate CNC Mill/Lathe to manufacture precision components.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process checks.
• Maintain production efficiency while ensuring quality.
• Document parts and tooling information for others.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure safety protocols.
