Job summary

The Atlas Group in Park City, KS is seeking a Plate Saw operator to perform precision measuring, cutting, and finishing of raw materials for manufacturing. You will set up and run CNC Plate Saw equipment and ensure pieces meet nesting sheet instructions.

Responsibilities include documenting cut orders, inspecting material, keeping work areas clean, transferring pieces to inventory, and using forklifts/cranes with proper PPE. Follow safety procedures and maintain batch traceability.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, read written directions, and take verbal instructions.
• Able to use measuring devices and perform basic math.
• Always wears required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Cut order per nesting sheet instructions and document necessary information.
• Follow guidelines for inspection of material and cut size.
• Keep work areas clean and store material properly.
• Transfer completed pieces to inventory, physically and systematically.
• Use proper lifting equipment when handling material.
• Know procedures for operating plate saws and HEM saw.
• Maintain maintenance and inspection checklists for equipment.
• Label cut pieces and unused remanent material.
• Use a forklift to load/unload and move materials safely.
• Pull material using FIFO and maintain batch traceability.
