Job summary

Toledo Steel Supply is seeking a CNC Plate Processing Operator to transform raw plate into precision parts. You will run plasma/oxy-fuel tables, set up jobs for optimum speed and accuracy, and verify specs from prints and orders.

You'll read gauges, check material grades, and troubleshoot to minimize downtime. The role requires 1–3 years CNC experience, safety-minded teamwork, and flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificates are a plus.
• 1–3 years operating basic CNC machinery; plasma/oxy/lase experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude with attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC burn tables using plasma and oxy-fuel to deliver parts to print.
• Set up jobs to balance speed, accuracy, and material yield.
• Perform oxygen/gas flame cutting on plate 1 3/8” to 10” thick.
• Run CNC plasma on 1/8” to 1 1/4” material.
• Read work orders and confirm specs before cutting; follow cutting practices.
• Identify material grade using color-coding; verify tolerances with tape measure/calipers.
• Troubleshoot issues and adjust to minimize downtime.
• Operate forklifts and cranes; maintain safe material handling.
• Keep area clean; assist with preventive maintenance; document it.
