Job summary

Downtime Rebuild Equipment in Cincinnati seeks an experienced Welder-Fabricator who can independently operate a CNC plasma table. You will load files, set up materials, run jobs, and produce finished parts, with both welding and fabrication duties.

Reading blueprints and using calipers/micrometers are essential, while AutoCAD/SolidWorks help is a plus. You will work in a shop environment, ensuring quality and safety, and may perform MIG/TIG/Stick welding as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience independently operating a CNC plasma table in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Ability to explain steps from receiving a file to finished cut parts.
• Experience loading files, setting up material and cut parameters, operating the table, and inspecting parts.
• Metal fabrication and welding experience; read blueprints and drawings.
• Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures and other measuring tools; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive drawings and production files and load them into the CNC plasma table software.
• Verify layout, material type, thickness, consumables and cut settings; load material.
• Operate the plasma table from setup to finished cut; monitor quality and adjust as needed.
• Perform basic torch, nozzle, consumable and cut-quality troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy before fabrication and assembly; read blueprints and specs.
• Fabricate metal components from raw material; perform MIG, TIG and stick welding as needed.

OverviewDowntime Rebuild is hiring an experienced Welder-Fabricator who can independently operate a CNC plasma table in our Cincinnati shop.CNC plasma-table operation is the primary requirement for this position. This is not a training role for someone whose only experience is using a handheld plasma cutter or welding pieces that another employee has already prepared.The right person can receive a file from engineering, load it into the plasma table, set up the material and cut settings, run the job and produce finished parts.
