Job summary

D.L. George & Sons Manufacturing seeks a skilled Plasma Operator to join our team in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment. You will set up and operate Plasma/Laser Burn Table machines to cut steel parts and verify dimensions against prints and BOMs.

The ideal candidate has CNC burn table experience, reads blueprints, maintains tight quality control, and can safely handle material with forklifts and cranes. This role offers climate-controlled shop conditions and a path for growth.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and BOMs.
• High accuracy and strict safety practices.
• Must operate forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a CNC operator with burn table or similar CNC work.

Responsibilities

• Read prints and check for errors.
• Layout and burn/cut steel.
• Identify and number material for fabrication and further machining.
• May operate other CNC machinery as needed to meet production.
• Welding may be required on occasion.
• Load and unload materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
