Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking a skilled Plasma Cutter - Fabrication to join our manufacturing team in Batavia, Ohio. This role operates CNC plasma cutting equipment to accurately cut steel and sheet metal per blueprints and production specs.

The ideal candidate can read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and maintain safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating plasma cutting equipment in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC plasma cutting equipment to cut sheet metal and plate to specified dimensions and shapes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, cut sheets, and production work orders.
• Set up and operate plasma cutting equipment according to job specifications.
• Load, position, and secure raw materials for cutting.
• Verify material type, thickness, dimensions, and quantities before beginning production.
• Inspect completed cuts for accuracy and quality.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and other inspection equipment.
