Job summary

HEX is seeking a CNC Operator & Welding Technician to support full-cycle fabrication—from raw material to finished product. You will cut, form, assemble, and finish metal components using CNC equipment and welding processes, ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety.

The role requires reading blueprints and performing precise measurements. You will operate CNC laser cutters, set up press brakes, and perform MIG/TIG welding, with a focus on multi-process welding and sheet metal fabrication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience with CNC machines, fabrication or welding, drill press, horizontal band saw, and PEM insertion.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.
• CNC setup or programming experience; multi-process welding; sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting equipment using programs (e.g., G-code).
• Set up and run press brake machines to bend and form metal components.
• Perform welding using MIG and TIG processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and minor adjustments.
• Grind, deburr, and finish parts to meet specs.
• Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized.
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
