Job summary

Progress Rail in Sherman, TX is seeking a CNC machinist to operate machines in our rail production area, machine parts and rail according to specifications, and use measuring devices to ensure accuracy.

The role requires reading drawings, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision; weekend shift with shift premium and benefits from day one. Training and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years machinist/CNC machine operator experience.
• Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect rail using measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to machine parts and rail according to specifications.
• Use measuring devices to determine accuracy and mark all rail accordingly.
• Operate overhead cranes.
