Job summary

Merit Brass Company in Cleveland, OH is seeking a motivated CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate CNC lathes and bar-feeders in a multi-machine cell, loading materials and preparing tooling for efficient, quality machining of pipe nipples.

Qualifications

• 2 years general machining experience or CNC Machining Certificate preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements and use inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and bar-feeders in a multi-machine cell safely.
• Produce pipe nipples to Merit Brass quality standards and efficiency goals.
• Load raw materials and prepare tooling for machining operations.
• Adjust and replace machine tooling as necessary to maintain tool life and accuracy.
• Translate instructions into machine commands for correct functions.
• Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping of machines.
