Job description

Join to apply for the CNC Operator Trainee - 2nd Shift role at The Dixon Group.

Position Details

This is an entry-level CNC Operator Trainee position in Chestertown, MD. No prior CNC or machine operator experience is required; Dixon provides training. The shift hours are 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is $16.00/hr to $19.00/hr, plus a 15% shift differential. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a competitive salary, bonus programs, 401K, training, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, vacation and PTO, gym reimbursements, and more.

  • Operate CNC lathes
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy
Qualifications
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to read measuring tools like calipers and micrometers
  • Basic shop math skills (addition and subtraction)
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. consistently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
