Job summary

NexGen Steel Corp is a next-generation manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing systems for residential and commercial buildings, delivering precision wall panels, floor joists, and trusses.

The Machine Operator runs a computer-driven CNC roll-former to produce steel studs, tracks and truss components, inputs and adjusts machine settings, and ensures measurements meet specifications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Construction, manufacturing, or mechanical background required.
• Basic to intermediate computer knowledge; familiarity with CNC interfaces preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Dependable and safety-minded, able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a CNC roll-forming machine that produces steel studs, tracks, and truss components.
• Input, review, and adjust machine settings and production files using computer controls.
• Verify part measurements and quality to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Load and unload coil steel, monitor machine performance, and perform basic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and correct production errors or equipment issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all company safety policies.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output goals.
