Job summary

BUTTING USA Inc. in Alabama is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our expanding production team.

You will setup, program, and operate CNC machining and tube laser cutting equipment to produce precision stainless steel components. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and attention to detail, with the opportunity to contribute to process improvements while working a Monday–Thursday shift in Loxley.

Qualifications

At least two years of practical experience setting up and operating CNC machine tools.
Technical vocational training or equivalent practical experience in machining and CNC operation.
High school diploma (or equivalent qualification) required.
Experience with laser cutting systems and CAD/CAM, nesting, or machine programming software desirable.
Ability to read complex technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
Experience operating forklifts or handling materials is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills; knowledge of OSHA regulations and ISO 9001 quality standards.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor CNC machining and tube laser cutting systems.
Prepare jobs based on drawings, work orders, specifications, and production schedules.
Set up machines, tooling, programs, offsets, and perform pre-production checks.
Inspect parts throughout production using precision measuring tools.
Maintain accurate production, quality, downtime, scrap, and maintenance records.
Identify and suggest improvements to machine programs, tooling, work methods, material use, safety, quality, and production efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and consumable changes.
Ensure machines and work areas remain clean, organized, and production-ready.
