Job Overview

Responsible for manufacturing quality parts produced on various CNC and manual lathe and milling machines (specifically on Masak and Samsung and possibly other machines. Additionally responsible for loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads work order and drawings for product specifications, such as dimension and tolerances
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, boring machines, drill press, and grinders, to machine forgings to specifications, following blueprints, and/or sketches applying knowledge of machining methods
• For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
• Set up and operate machine shop equipment
• Observe operation of machine and follow Safety rules
• Verify dimensions using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, etc.
• Perform reasonably similar or related duties, as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum one year machine shop experience desired
• Minimum 1 - 3 year of Manual Lathe and / or Mill experience required
• CNC experience, with Mazak and HAAS controls is a plus
• Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
• Must have knowledge of metal characteristics and machining methods
• Basic Mearing Tool knowledge
• Willing to work OT
• High School Diploma
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication
