Job summary
Merritt Precision manufactures highly sophisticated plugs for the marine, automotive, and aerospace industries in Merritt Island, Florida and Sweetwater, TN. The CNC Operator & Maintenance Specialist will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC milling machines, production equipment, and robotic systems, while supporting inventory management and safety compliance.

Qualifications
- 5+ years in a manufacturing/industrial setting with CNC repair experience.
- Experience with FRP, composites, robotics, and automated production systems.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and facility management.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate all robots and CNC milling machines in coordination with programmers.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines, robotics, spray equipment, and facility systems.
- Maintain inventory of parts, obtain quotes, and work with vendors for parts procurement.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols and perform equipment inspections.
- Implement efficiency improvements and collaborate with engineers and production teams.
