Overview:

Explus, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you’ll set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture precision parts for custom museum exhibits. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, benefits, and the opportunity to work on unique, high-profile projects.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform turning, milling, drilling, and tapping
• Operate the following machines:
• Komo 1VR 512 – 5’ x 12’ machine with 3 spindles and one drill
• Komo Mach1 510 – 8-tool changer and 20-drill block
• Run one to two machines simultaneously
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Select appropriate tools, materials, and machining strategies
• Monitor machine operations to ensure precision, quality, and efficiency
• Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect finished parts
• Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Collaborate with the Fabrication team to resolve technical challenges and enhance workflows

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with machining processes
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to operate precision measuring tools
• Familiarity with CNC programming software (AutoCAD and/or G-code is beneficial; knowledge of G-code is especially helpful)
• Welding experience is a plus
• Experience with stamping press operations is a plus
• Commitment to craftsmanship, detail, and quality
