Provides a variety of direct manufacturing functions. Safely operating equipment including, but not limited to : CNC mills and lathes, assembly, and automation equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Completion of work orders and corresponding paperwork
- Machining of customer product in a fast-paced environment focusing on safety, quality, and productivity
- Basic Blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T
- Operation of various inspection equipment used in the manufacture of precision machined parts such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, pins gauges, drop gauges, and thread gauges.
- Handling and packing of parts that adhere to customer requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of work area to support safety efforts and awareness
- Uphold the 5S efforts, ensuring materials, parts, and liquids are kept off the floor and machines
- Assist with training efforts (mentoring), as directed by Utility or Shift Supervisor
- Daily review of production requirements
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Good knowledge of molding and manufacturing theories preferred.
- Comprehension and application of training manuals and materials.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Positive, proactive behavior in the execution of all job duties.
- Interact with the Quality department to ensure customer specifications are being met.
- English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.
- Completion of "Fundamentals of Injection Molding" Paulson Training.
- Completion of “Core 9” ToolingU training.
Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
- Moderate to heavy physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time and maintain dexterity when handling parts, tooling, components, etc.
- Ability to maintain repetitive motions without limitations
