Job summary

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation seeks a skilled CNC Operator Level 4 for the Columbia, PA plant. You will operate CNC mills and lathes, setup from blueprints, and monitor tool wear to ensure part accuracy.

Responsibilities include entering maintenance work orders, referencing G and M codes, and coordinating with senior staff to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Operate CNC mills and lathes per MO requirements.
• Read blueprints and engineering plans to set up parts.
• Maintain tool wear and monitor tool usage.
• Knowledge of M & G codes.
• Enter work orders into Maintenance system as trained.

Responsibilities

• Operate all CNC equipment (mills/lathes).
• Set up equipment per drawings and specifications.

• Verify settings by measuring first-run and sample parts.
• Troubleshoot programs and edit as needed to meet quality standards.
• Assist in meeting production goals for cycle time and output.
• Guide and coach lower CNC levels on advanced tasks.
• Ensure equipment is safe and properly maintained.

CNC Operator Level 4

Department: Manufacturing - Machine Shop

Reporting To: Scott Mitchell

Compensation: $41.31 - $43.31 / hour

Description

• operate all CNC Equipment (mills/lathes)
• Set-up and operate equipment per MO requirements using the following; blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces.
• Changes tool inserts as required to maintain part specifications and monitor tool usage and wear.
• Must have a good working knowledge of M & G Codes
• Ability to be trained to enter work orders into the Maintenance system.
• Configures CNC by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets and prove part programs.
• Loads machine with work pieces and verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; editing programs; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Accomplishes organization goals by offering improvement opportunities.
• Meets production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality
• Works with higher level CNC associates to troubleshoot, set-up and machine new products
• Works with lower CNC levels to guide and coach them on higher skilled tasks.
• Works with supervision and leads to assure the equipment is safe, tooling on-hand and assisting in keeping the equipment in operation to meet schedule requirements
• Perform basic service checks per documented procedures(check and add coolant and oils as required)
