Job description

Vo-Tech, a growing manufacturing company of over 20 years, is seeking a full-time 2nd Shift Machinist. The Machinist will produce machined parts by operating computer numerical control (CNC) & manual machines with programming and setup, maintaining quality and safety standards to make good parts.

Responsibilities
  • At least 10 years of experience working with CNC machines (lathes and mills), advanced machine setup
  • Advanced knowledge of machining parts on manual lathes and mills
  • Advanced knowledge/experience machining complex parts (CNC Machining)
  • Advanced/extensive knowledge of reading blueprints
  • Loading machines, lifting materials into position
  • May travel up to 2 times a year
  • Advanced use of Measuring Tools and Machining Tools
  • Advanced Programming knowledge; extensive knowledge of CAM Software (4-axis)
  • Understanding of CNC machining & operations, materials, specifications, and machining parameters, how parts are made; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; tool offsets
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations. Keeps work area clean and organized
  • Gives feedback to supervisor regarding preventive maintenance requirements; reporting needed repairs or any issue with the machine to manager
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts if needed or as shop manager directs
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs required by JobBoss (ERP) & management

Compensation and Benefits
