Job summary

You will oversee the turning process from initial setup through final inspection, applying tight tolerances and high surface finish standards in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a High School diploma and 3+ years of experience, with first shift hours described in the posting.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience with Mazak turning centers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers to produce precise cylindrical parts.
• Load program parameters and adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds.
• Change and index cutting tools, inserts, and collets as needed.
• Verify part dimensions against blueprints using calipers and micrometers.
• Document production yields, defects, and downtime logs.

salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year shift: First work hours: 7:30 AM - 4 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers to produce precise cylindrical parts.
• Load program parameters and adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds based on material specifications.
• Change and index cutting tools, inserts, and collets as required by tool wear and job setups.
• Verify part dimensions against blueprints using precision measuring hand tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Document production yields, part defects, and equipment downtime logs throughout the shift.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
